The ADSL DynaMiTe(TM) chipset from Alcatel Microelectronics provides
all the required functions to implement a complete USB-based, rate adaptive
ADSL modem. The two-chip-solution consists of the:
Single-chip ADSL-USB controller (MTC-20158) which includes:
DMT modem
ARM7TDMI RISC processor
ATM framer
high-performance USB engine
ATM cells are transferred over the USB interface. The chipset
employs Discrete Multi-Tone modulation as specified in ANSI T1.413 and also
supports ITU standards G.992.1 (G.dmt), including Annex B (ADSL-over-ISDN)
and G.992.2 (G.lite).
Reed- Solomon forward error correction with optional interleaving is
provided.
Features
Integrated MCU, USB and memory controller:
USB 1.1 compliant
Power consumption of < 1W enables design of bus-powered USB
modems
