Newbridge (Newbridge Networks ) : VIVID EISA NIC
A variety of NIC hardware and driver combinations are available for connection, and VIVID NICs use AAL 5 and RFC 1483 LLC SNAP encapsulation with bridged and routed PDUs to convert LAN packets into ATM cells to the ATM network. Software support include Drivers for SunOS, Solaris, Novell, Windows NT, HP-UX,IRIX, and other OS. Connection management is done with Q.2931 SVCs, PVCs and UNI 3.1 signaling. Network Management with SNMP is supported.
