HyperSAR: 32/64 Bit PCIBus Segmentation and Reassembly Device

The 1570 is a high performance, PCI bus interface OC-3 SAR. It has data structures and features targeted towards the hub/router market. Feature sinclude 32/64 bit PCI bus support, early segmentation of data, celli nterface can be programmed as either a PHY or ATM layer to support direct interfacing to a switch, full VPI/VCI support (simultaneous segmentation of 1023 packets and simultaneous reassembly of 30720 packets) and greater than 200 Mbps full-duplex operation (using 64 bit). Applications include Ethernet to ATM hubs, switching hubs and edge routers.
