ML6674 The ML6674 transceiver solves the baseline-wander problem that prevents reliable 155 Mbps data transfer over copper-wire networks. The chip uses a patent-pending circuit that measures the dc offset voltage (baseline wander) that builds up due to assymetrical serial data. In real time, the circuit shifts the dc level of incoming waveform back to its original level. The chip also includes an adaptive equalizer that compensates for amplitude and phase distortion caused by variations in the length of copper wire.
